What I Do - I’m a hand-lettering artist, Melbourne calligrapher and long term teacher of calligraphy. I use 26 letterforms as art through design. Using the power of words, playing with the rhythm in their meaning or sound, to create visually engaging artwork.
Bringing an influence of tradition & craft to the table, I am always working on the new, innovative or the unique. With each new project, searching for expression, meaning and new possibilities. Together with my clients input, I explore those possibilities to create beautifully crafted artwork.
Today my bread and butter work consists of all manner of calligraphic inscriptions for special events, weddings and corporate promotions. The creative work I love to do are commissions, these I call “Word Stories“ and they are all about love and life.
